Risks of deleting submitted ASIC Forms

Question

What risks are involved when deleting ASIC forms that have been submitted for lodgement?

Answer

Once an ASIC form has been submitted for lodgement, it will move from 'Pending' to 'Transmitted' status and begin transmitting data to ASIC.

When a form in 'Pending' or 'Transmitted' status is deleted, this does not stop the transmission. The data is still transmitted to ASIC to process.

If a form shows 'Lodged' status, this means the form has been completely processed with ASIC.

If a form has been lodged in error, the following options may be considered:

Note: Deleting ASIC forms that have not yet been submitted will cause no issues as no data has been submitted to ASIC.
