How can I update or remove an Ultimate Holding Company?

Answer

The Ultimate Holding Company can be updated using the form 484A3 Ultimate Holding Company Change.

1. Navigate to the Company Profile by selecting Menu > Corporate Messenger > Companies > Select the company from the list to open the Company profile.
   
   
2. Select the 484A3 Form, "Change of Status" > "Form 484A3"
   
   
   
3. On the third page titled "Change of Ultimate Holding Company", select the appropriate update from the drop-down labelled "The change is"
   
   
   Note: You are only ceasing the Company as an Ultimate Holding Company, not deregistering the Company.
4. Complete the remaining fields > click Complete to generate the documents.

Note:

To advise ASIC that an existing Company is now a Subsidiary Company, the 484A3 form can be used.

To register a subsidiary company, a new company can be created to act as a subsidiary via a 201 form.
