Question
Why is there an Annual Statement appearing in 'Not Received' status?
Answer
An Annual Statement will show as ‘Not Received’ when ASIC has already sent the statement electronically either to you, prior to adding the company to Corporate Messenger, to a previous agent, or directly to the client.
This tends to happen when a Company is first imported into Corporate Messenger, and ASIC has already sent the Annual Statement.
- When a 362 Agent Appointment form is lodged before an Annual Statement has been issued, the Annual Statement appearing under the Annual Statements page within Corporate Messenger in Received status ready to be sent for signing.
- If a 362 Agent Appointment form is lodged after an Annual Statement has already been issued, the Annual Statement will appear under the Annual Statements page within Corporate Messenger in 'Not Received' status.
To resolve this you can remerge the Annual Statement, which will generate a copy of the documents.
However it is important to note that the remerge should take place after the debt for the Annual Statement appears on the Company profile. Click here to learn about refreshing a company's debt.
Note: It can take up to 48 hours for ASIC to transmit the updated debt for the Company.
If the remerge is completed before the debt has been updated within the Company profile this will result in the ASIC Invoice showing $0 and when the remerged Annual Statement is sent, no reminders will be created.
Note: If the above scenario has occurred, an agent can access the Annual Statement ASIC Invoice via ASIC Connect directly.
