How can I update the Beneficial Owner's name, of Non-Beneficially held shares?
Answer
Navigate to Menu > Corporate Messenger > Companies > open the Company Profile > Share Summary.
Important Note:
- This editing function will not correct details held by ASIC. If you wish to update the shareholder name with ASIC please ensure the appropriate 484 Change of Details form is lodged.
- Changes to the beneficial owner will only apply from the date of the edit, backdated documents (e.g. Dividend Statements) will reflect the prior name recorded, if backdated prior to the edit.
1. Locate the relevant shareholder and expand to view their current parcels.
2. Select the 3 dots to the right of the specific share parcel.
3. From the dropdown select 'Update'.
4. Under the ‘Beneficial Owner Name’ field enter the updated Trust name and ensure the date is entered (this reflects the date the change to the Beneficial Owner name was name) > select ‘Save Changes’ to apply the change to the profile.
5. The Member Holding Balances table should automatically refresh and reflect the update beneficial owner name.
