Instructions to set up User permissions
Navigate to Menu > Portal Settings
Access
The Access page regulates each User's security settings and permissions for modules.
Payment: the ability to view the 'Invoice' menu item and proceed to payment. Select an option by clicking on the drop-down box:
Full: shows "Invoice" as a Menu Item and gives the ability to make payment.
View-only: shows "Invoice" as a Menu Item, however no ability to make a payment. The payment button is hidden.
None: no "Invoice" menu item and there is no ability to make a payment.
Documents
The ability to create documents from the documents page.
Select an option by clicking on the drop-down box:
Full: the ability to access all document tabs in the Menu, including "Create a Document", "Saved documents", "Completed documents", 'E-signing'. Once completed, you have the ability to Edit documents once.
Read-only: there is no ability to create a new document. The 'Edit' option is hidden. Users can only access 'Completed Documents' and 'E-Signing'.
Draft: the User has access to all the documents in the menu item. Only the User can save documents. There is no ability to complete a document.
None: There is no access to Documents. The Documents menu is hidden.
Corporate Messenger: the ability to use Corporate Messenger, including accessing your companies profiles and creating and lodging forms ASIC forms.
Select an option by clicking on the drop-down box:
Full: all functions are available.
Read-only: Only the User can access saved and completed forms. There is no ability to create and complete a form. The User cannot amend, lodge, forward or send a form.
User can access the following menu items: 'Companies', 'Lodgements', 'Annual Statements', 'Notification Center' and 'ASIC Calendar'.
Draft: the user can only save a form (the complete button is hidden) and cannot lodge, forward, or send a form. The User has access to the full Corporate Messenger menu.
None: The Corporate Messenger menu is hidden.
Trust Register: the user has the ability to access the Trust Register.
Select an option in the drop-down box.
Full - All functions are available.
Read-only - User can access saved and completed documents but have no ability to create and complete a document. User cannot amend, lodge, forward or send a document. No ability to edit the Trust Profile.
Draft: User can only save documents (complete button is hidden). No ability to amend, forward or send a document. The user has access to the full Trust Register menu.
None: the Trust Register menu is hidden.
General Features:
Select either the 'Full' or 'None' option.
General features include the following:
- Release Notes
- Webinars
- Strategic / Technical Support
- Reminders and Outgoing Correspondence - (hidden from the menu if both Documents and Corporate Messenger access is set to 'None').
Important: Only User's with Administrator access can amend the permissions settings and add other administrators.
An administrator can be added when adding a new User or when editing a User's information.
To do so, go to the 'User Management' settings. Add a user or edit a User's information, and tick the 'Is Portal Administrator' box.
