The Business Name Registration is rejecting with an Error Code 01 and a string of coding as the description. How can this be fixed?
Answer
This can happen due to a timing issue (i.e when the submission is sent to the Australian Business Register during a peak period). This can also occur if the Associates tab has had the trustees of the trust entered as individuals instead of trustees of the trust that will own the business name.
Once the Associate category is changed from 'Individual' to 'Trust', this will then allow the form to be resubmitted without rejection. If the above solution does not apply to your situation, resubmit the form to attempt to evade the timing issue.
