Why is the Director option unavailable when completing an SMSF Establishment with Corporate Trustee?

This particular issue arises when completing the SMSF Establishment with Corporate Trustee form. The option to include an additional Officeholder as a Director is unavailable, and this Officeholder can only be added as a Secretary.
On the first page of the form, the number of Members of the Fund were selected. The form then pre-filled with the required amount of Officeholders according to the Members selected.
This issue arises when the "Add one more Officeholder" button is selected.
This selection signals to the form that, in addition to the Members selected, there will be an additional Officeholder. Resulting in this Officeholder only being able to be a Secretary, as the Director and Director & Secretary options are now unavailable.
This issue can be corrected by following these steps:
- Navigate to the page within the form that only allows you to select Secretary
- Select the "Remove this tab" button > this will then take you back to the previous Officeholder page
- Click "Save and Complete Later"
- Navigate to Menu > Documents > Saved Documents > click on the name of the entity to open the form
- The form will then allow you to elect your remaining Member/s as a Director or Director & Secretary/s.
