Why has my form been rejected if Scotland is a valid country of birth?

Question

I was born in Scotland, why has my form been rejected by ASIC when I lodge it through EDGE?

Answer

Although when lodging directly with ASIC, Scotland may be accepted as a valid country of birth, when using EDGE Protocol, "Scotland" is not accepted. This is due to the ISO country name and code. To proceed with lodgement, use "United Kingdom" instead of "Scotland" as the country of birth.
