Can ASIC Form 362 be electronically signed?

Answer 

Yes. ASIC Form 362 can now be electronically signed when lodging with the ASIC.

Thanks to updates under the Electronic Lodgement Protocol (ELP),on April 1, electronic signatures are now acceptable. This means ASIC Registered Agents can now collect and store the form 362 electronically, instead of obtaining the physically signed form. The option to physically sign a paper version of the document remains available.  ASIC Electronic Lodgement Protocol

What are the acceptable methods of electronic signing?

Answer 

Under the updated ELP, you can electronically sign Form 362 in two ways:

  • Touchscreen signature: Physically sign on a touchscreen device (using a stylus or finger).

  • Image of signature: Digitally insert an image of the person’s usual signature.

Note:
✅ The person signing must be a current company officeholder.
✅ The agent (you) must keep a signed copy of the Form 362 for seven years.

How do I electronically sign Form 362 in NowInfinity using DocuSign?

Answer 

Follow these steps to apply an electronic signature on the document via DocuSign:

 

Step 1 : Open the document in DocuSign & select the sign tab where you want to apply the signature.

Step 2 : You can either Draw or upload the image of the your usual signature from your device.

 

Option 1 : Draw your signature

Option 2: Upload an image file of your usual signature from your computer or device.

⚠️ Please not do not use the first option (or select a signature). ASIC only accepts drawing of signature example stylus/finger or uploading the image of your usual signature.
