Opening a Betashares Direct Trading Account via NowInfinity

Overview

This section outlines the step-by-step process for opening a Betashares direct trading account for existing entities. The instructions are designed for users operating within the Institution Accounts screen in NowInfinity.

This section outlines the step-by-step process for opening a Betashares Direct Trading Account. For existing entities, this can be actioned via the Institution Account page, and for newly established entities, this can be actioned via the order's Collaboration page.

Note: Betashares accounts can only be ordered for the following entities and documents:

• Standard Company
• SMSF with Special Purpose Corporate Trustee (applicable for the SMSF only)
• SMSF Establishment
• Discretionary Trust
• Fixed Unit Trust

Opening a Betashares Direct Trading Account for an existing entity.

1. Navigate to Menu > Documents > Institution Accounts.
2. From the top right, select "Open Institution Account".
3. Enter the name of the entity you wish to open an Institution Account for.
   Note: Minimum of 4 character must be keyed. The "Filter entity type" dropdown will allow you to refine the search by entity type.
4. If there are more than one entity with the same name, select the radio button against the desired entity.
5. The Directors/Trustees of the entity will populate automatically under the "Applicant" drop-down. Select the appropriate applicant.
6. Update the following fields:
   1. Select Betashares from the Institution dropdown
   2. Applicant's email
   3. Applicant's phone number
7. Select "Open Account" from the bottom right.

8. Click Confirm after reading the Betashares Terms and Conditions to set up the account.
   Note: Upon successful submission, a confirmation message will display in green in the top right.
   If there is an error with the application or a duplicate Betashares account, an error message will display in the top right instead.

   

9. The applicant will receive an email notification from Betashares advising the remaining steps to activate their account.

Opening a Betashares Direct Trading Account for an newly established entity

1. Open the document order via Menu > Documents > Completed Documents.
2. Under the "Integrations" heading select "Open an Institution Account".
3. Within the Please Select Institution dropdown select Betashares
4. Update the following fields:
   1. Applicant's email
   2. Applicant's phone number
5. Select "Open Account" 
6. Click Confirm after reading the Betashares Terms and Conditions to set up the account.Note: Upon successful submission, a confirmation message will display in green in the top right. 
   If there is an error with the application or a duplicate Betashares account, an error message will display in the top right instead.
   
7. The applicant will receive an email notification from Betashares advising the remaining steps to activate their account.
