Question
How can I add historical unit transactions to the Transactions Table?
Answer
It is now possible to import historical unit transactions into the Transactions Table.
To do this, navigate to Menu > Trust Register > Trusts > open the Trust Profile > go to the "Units" page > scroll down to "Upload Historical Transactions" > click on "Download Template".
Fill in the details following the correct formatting examples.
Please note:
Ensure dates regarding the issue, transfer from and to are correct as well as the unit class.
Total amount paid should be a positive number
If these details are incorrect, the upload may not be successful.
Regarding the Total Amount Paid you would enter the paid value of the shares at the time they were transferred. Example: if there were 88 ORD shares at $1 per share, you would enter $88.
Once the details have been entered correctly, navigate to Menu > Trust Register > Trusts > open the Trust Profile > go to the "Units" page > scroll down to "Upload Historical Transactions" > click "Upload/Validate and Import Transactions"
Once you have uploaded the spreadsheet, a validation message will appear advising "All transactions have been imported successfully".
The transactions will then appear under the transactions table.
If the the information entered within the spreadsheet does not follow the correct format, a validation message will appear advising that "Some data isn't valid".
If this occurs, you will need to amend the spreadsheet to ensure the correct format is used for all details entered.
Note: An "Issue" transaction indicates that units were issued to the unit holder. This should be used for events only when it is known the date the units were received.
A "Balance" transaction indicates "This was the balance as of the indicated date". It does not exclude that the same units were held earlier, nor indicate how the units were received.
