Can the ATO Form be signed electronically?

Question

Can the ATO Form be signed electronically?

Answer

The ATO Form should be "wet-ink" signed (manually signed).

The document requires the relevant "authorised person" to enter their details at the top of the page and sign and date at the bottom of the page. The "authorised person" could be an individual trustee, a director of a corporate trustee or a tax agent and they need to manually complete and sign the form.

Note: When sending the documents included in the package via electronic signing, this particular form is included even though it cannot be e-signed. Therefore the client will need to print and sign this section of the document package.
