Is the Account Manager field the only field that allows us to allocate the company to a team or team member? Is this field compulsory to complete?

This field is not compulsory.

The Account Manager field is the main source of visibility to assign an account manager to a particular company or companies. Only one team member can be selected.

We do have additional features which allow you to group companies by team groups or family groups via different pins.
